CHFA’s Governance Model
CHFA is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors made up of nine individuals elected by our membership. The Board provides strategic oversight, sets organizational priorities, and ensures we remain aligned with our mission of growing the natural, organic, and wellness (NOW) industry in Canada.
Our Board represents a wealth of experience and diverse perspectives from across the NOW industry. Strong governance ensures we operate with integrity, accountability, and in the best interests of our members and our industry.
Day-to-day operations are led by our senior leadership team, who are accountable to the Board and responsible for delivering on our strategy.
CHFA Advisory Councils
CHFA’s Advisory Councils provide members with an opportunity to be a crucial voice and thought partner in our work. These councils bring industry expertise and insight that help strengthen our community and inform the future of the natural, organic, and wellness industry.
Member Participation
As a member-based organization, your voice matters. CHFA members play an active role in governance through:
- Voting at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
- Electing members of the Board of Directors
- Participating in advisory councils, and working groups
- Voting for the CHFA Industry Achievement awards, recognizing leaders in our industry
- Providing input on key initiatives and industry priorities
Strong governance depends on engaged members.
Whether you’re interested in serving on the Board, joining an advisory council, or participating in member votes, there are many ways to get involved and help shape the future of the natural, organic, and wellness industry in Canada.
Bylaws
Our bylaws are the foundation of how CHFA is governed. They outline the structure and responsibilities of the Board, member rights, and key decision-making processes.
