2019 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Health Food Association (CHFA) will be held on Friday, May 3, 2019, at 4:30 p.m. ET at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, 1001 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle, Montréal, QC.  Elections to the Board of Directors of CHFA will be conducted at this meeting. To be eligible to vote at the AGM, you must be a CHFA Member in good standing up to and including the date of record, April 12, 2019.

 


The Board of Directors will consist of nine members representing, where possible, an equal number of individuals who are members engaged as retailers and who are members engaged as suppliers. The ninth director may be either of the above, or an individual who is independent of any member. Each year, three directors will retire and three directors will be elected to a three-year term. Directors may currently serve a maximum of two consecutive three-year terms.

 

This year, Alice Chung, Mike Fata and Adam Martin will complete their current terms.  Three directors will be elected to the board for the 2019–2022 term.

 

For the elections to take place on Friday, May 3, 2019, the Nominating Committee has put forward the following names as nominees to the Board of Directors of CHFA:

  • Mike Fata, Manitoba Harvest (Supplier)
  • Stacey Kravitz, UNFI Canada (Supplier)
  • Adam Martin, Community Natural Foods (Retailer)

In addition, in accordance with the process set out in the CHFA By-laws, Agnes Dahl, Life Choice Ltd., has been nominated by Eldon Dahl to serve as a director.
