Organika - Inside Sales Representative

Richmond, BC

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Inside Sales Representative will manage existing Organika accounts across Canada. The Inside Sales Representative is passionate about building relationships and will manage accounts primarily via phone and e-mail. An driven and motivated individual, the Inside Sales Representative will relentlessly pursue sales targets and sell new products and promotions. The Inside Sales Representative will also provide some customer service support by taking customer phone calls, e-mails and inputting orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieves sales targets and sells new products and promotions by managing accounts via phone and e-mail. Some local in-store visits may also be required.
  • Tracks sales calls with appropriate notes in Hubspot CRM.
  • Responsible for business planning: co-op, promotions and achieving annual sales targets.
  • Provides sales support to Inside and Outside Sales teams by inputting orders, taking inventory, merchandising (including setting up point of purchase promotional material), phone calls, e-mails, listing forms, making customer appointments, shelf resets, e-mail marketing and marketing material requests.
  • Occasionally conducts in-store demos in the Lower Mainland.
  • Represents Organika at trade shows in British Columbia and Ontario.
  • Assists the Sales & Marketing team by organizing tradeshows.
  • Provides coverage for other territories on behalf of other Outside Sales Pros during absences by taking orders and following up on accounts.
  • Prepares customer feedback and other sales relevant reports to the Customer Services & Inside Sales Manager.
  • Assists the Customer Services & Inside Sales Manager conduct necessary market research and seek new market opportunities.
  • Understands Organika’s product line and assist Customer Services & Inside Sales Manager to provide necessary product training to customers.
  • Attends webinars and promotes webinars to customers.
  • Some travel within the Lower Mainland and Canada may be required for in-store visits and tradeshows. Inside Sales Representative may work flexible hours to accommodate for this.
  • Other assigned duties as required.

Required Skills and Training

  • A university degree or college diploma in business administration or in a related field.
  • Preferred 2-3 years of customer service experience. 1 year of inside sales experience is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in natural health industry is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English. Fluency in a second language (preferably French is an asset).
  • Demonstrates market, sales process, and product knowledge, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, closing skills, relationship-building.
  • Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong computer and technology skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team-oriented and able to interact effectively with external clients and all levels within an organization.
