Organika - Sales Assistant

Richmond, BC

Primary Purpose of Position:

The Sales Assistant supports the Inside and Outside Sales team by acting as the primary point of contact for existing and potential customers. You will work closely with the Sales team to provide exceptional customer service and build strong long-term relationships with existing customers as well as assist in the development of potential new customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary point of contact with our existing and potential customers in answering any inquiries via fax, phone or email, resolving any issues to completion and providing prompt, accurate and friendly customer service to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Receives and ensures orders from fax, phone and email are processed and completed in a timely manner
  • Communicates and follows through on status of orders or backorders to customers
  • Tracks sales orders and prepares paperwork/delivery schedule
  • Provides product information and recommends or upsells to customers, as appropriate
  • Product knowledge, customer portal support, product recommendations
  • Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Ensures product is shipped on time to customers as requested
  • Supports in-house sales accounts by handling incoming calls, emails and faxes
  • Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
  • Maintains records of customer accounts in CRM system by documenting interactions, process
  • Attends insurance claims and person in charge of credits, and coupon tracking (redemption from stores)
  • Performs ad hoc duties and projects assigned, as needed

Required Skills and Training

  • Preferred a university degree or college diploma in business administration or in a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of customer service and administrative experience, preferably in the health industry
  • Have the ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment
  • Must be people and detail oriented
  • Must have a positive mindset
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrate market, sales process, and product knowledge, strong negotiation and problem-solving skills, closing skills, relationship-building.
  • Clear and concise telephone communication skills along with strong active listening skills
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced multi-functional team environment
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Communication and facilitation skills. Able to interact effectively at all levels of an organization.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in French is an asset but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in the natural health products, fitness, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industries is preferred
