Job Highlights

The Account Manager position is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their sales and customer service skills within a fast-paced sales environment. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the generation of sales within existing accounts and developing opportunities with new customers within their assigned territory.

With a passion for customer service, the Account Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of territory sales growth. S/he will build strong relationships with his/her customer base by maintaining in-person contact, and working together on growth strategies.

Specific Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Cultivate a strong brand-led culture through brand evangelism, conveying our Vision, Mission and Values
  • Meet and grow sales targets for assigned territory
  • Achieve and maintain adequate shelf space and proper positioning of our brands/products in every call, as determined by territory and company sales objectives
  • Develop annual sales plans, designed to achieve annual, quarterly and monthly volume, distribution and merchandising objectives
  • Develop daily plans that align with monthly sales objectives for each major direct account in the territory
  • Manage trade support budget and monitor ROI with said budget
  • Attend trade shows throughout the year as needed
  • Develop monthly sales visit call plan for territory
  • Initiate order generation process with all accounts in territory
  • Introduce and sell new product listings
  • correcting out-of-stocks and over-stocks
  • Secure regular and special retail/wholesale pricing
  • Improve shelf space and location
  • Secure and improve shelf/promotional display space along with building promotional display space
  • Install POS material
  • Participate and support retailer CAD & special events throughout the year
  • Educate retailers about the key feature benefits of all Progressive, Iron Vegan, and Precision products
  • Collaborate with the Body Plus Marketing team to plan events in territory (e.g. demos, staff training’s consumer events)
  • Partner with Key Accounts Manager to execute monthly, quarterly and annual promotions with Key Accounts
  • Assist A/R with payment collection when required


Time Allocation
The following time allocations are guidelines designed to provide direction as to how much time should be spent on each facet of the job, in a typical month:

  • Retail calls 85%
  • Administration 15%


Knowledge & Skill Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education, with a preference to Business Administration, Marketing or Nutrition
  • 2 years' related sales experience, preferably in the Natural Food Industry
  • Passion for health and wellness
  • Demonstrated ability in business development, customer service and meeting sales targets
  • Self-starter and initiative
