About the Role
As an Inside Sales Representative, Sports Nutrition, you’ll play a key role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional service to our retail partners. You’ll be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of accounts—managing day-to-day order activities, identifying new opportunities, and supporting retailers in promoting our brands and products. This position requires strong communication, organization, and a passion for health, fitness, and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for all day-to-day sales order entry-related activities including validating customer information, orders, and purchase order details.
- Ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and exceeded throughout all stages of the sales process.
- Identify and report opportunities to continuously improve the customer experience.
- Follow up on order issues and communicate clearly with other members of the sales team.
- Set up new retail accounts.
- Work with retail accounts to build in-store/online promotions (to be approved by your manager).
- Communicate any ongoing specials or promotions to assigned accounts.
- Respond to all account communications (phone, email, etc.) within 24 hours in a professional manner.
- Assist with regional trade shows and sales meetings.
- Communicate competitive product information, account changes, and territory updates promptly to management.
- Understand customer needs and requirements.
- Present new products to retailers.
- Attend local promotional events and grand openings to educate customers and store employees on products.
- Maximize market share and achieve forecasted sales targets.
- Support other functions as assigned.
Position Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or customer service—preferably within the sports nutrition, natural health, or consumer packaged goods industry.
- Experience working with retail accounts (independent and chain) is an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or CRM systems (such as NetSuite, Salesforce, or HubSpot) is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive problem-solver who can adapt quickly and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Customer-focused mindset with a drive to exceed expectations.
- Knowledge and passion for sports nutrition, health, or fitness strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to attend regional trade shows, sales meetings, and customer events as required (some travel may be necessary).
