Save Our Supplements, One of the Most Significant Grassroots Campaigns, Enters New Phase

The Save Our Supplements (SOS) campaign, which ran from 2023 to 2025, was a major success—one of the most significant grassroots movements seen on Parliament Hill in recent years. Now, with a new government in place, our focus is evolving.
May 29, 2025

While the SOS campaign helped bring national attention to critical issues facing the natural health product industry, we are shifting to new strategies that reflect the current landscape. Our priorities now include addressing overregulation (including stopping the proposed cost recovery program) that puts Canadian businesses at a disadvantage, improving US trade relations, and removing trade barriers—both international and interprovincial—to help natural, organic, and wellness companies in Canada stay competitive.

It is because of the hard work of our CHFA members, and the natural, organic and wellness industry at large, that we can celebrate the following achievements and impacts of this campaign.
